“ This is my absolute favourite street food in Chatsfood and my absolute guilty pleasure. I highly recommend the crunchy chicken skewers, I usually get 2 bunches (10 skewers) each time. The other recommendation is the rice cake. When they sprinkle the seasoning on it, it’s so savoury and chewy. Simply amazing!! I saw others often get the potato slices so I ordered it one time and it was a bit soggy by the time I got to it so I probably won’t try that one again. The enoki was also good but it shrunk so much after it goes through the fryer. They also ask if you prefer spicy, less spicy or mild. Super yum! ”

You can choose which protein, vegetables etc., and it’s kept cold and separate to avoid contamination. You can also customise your spice level! My favourite skewers would have to be the beef, chicken gizzards, quail eggs and squid! It may be an acquired taste/new experience for those that aren’t adventurous, but this is great way to give it a try, and makes me excited about my upcoming trip to China. “ Tried Kwafood Skewers in Sydney after seeing it a lot in Melbourne. Overall, nothing mind-blowing but definitely a decent spot if you’re craving skewers. Pretty simple procedure — you grab what you want in hand and choose what goes into your buckets. We ended up paying around $40, but the portions weren’t massive, so don’t expect huge bang for your buck. The chicken schnitzel skewer was the standout — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender. The other charcoal meats (lamb, chicken thigh, chicken tenders) were all cooked well and tender, though fairly standard in flavour. Corn skewer was simple but good. On the flip side, the veggie skewer wasn’t great — bitter in flavour and fell off the stick, so we had to scoop it from the basket. The sausage skewer was probably the weakest dish of the night. Service was smooth, everything came out quickly, and communication was easy. Not a place I’d rave about, but for a casual feed, it does the job. ”
